Aruhan Galieva is an award winning writer and film-maker. Her latest short film project has just won the First Flights Film Fund Award attaching both Oscar and BAFTA winning companies Goldfinch and First Flights on board to Exec Produce alongside SXSW winner Chiara Ventura.
Her previous short film ‘Alienated’ co-written with BAFTA Nominated Jac Clinch is currently in the Film Festival Circuit, starring Aruhan and Yerden Telemissov (Slow Horses on Disney+). It has just won Best WA Film at Absurd Film Festival and Best Soundtrack at Monza Film Festival, of which she is co-composer.
Her sold out debut comedy hour ‘Eco Maniac’ won the Luke Rollason Memorial Bursary Award and the Watering Seeds Award (for Global Majority Activists working on peaceful climate action projects recognising her work as a Comedian and Writer).

She has written for C4’s/Mother’s Best Child’s viral satirical sketch show ‘The B@it’ , S2 of Hat Trick Productions’ Audio Sketch Show ‘Seance Cast’ (BBC Audio Drama Winner and Chortle Award Nominated), S2 of C4’s/Mother’s Best Child ‘Nasty Neighbours’. She was ShortCom Sitcom Competition Longlisted, and is part of the BAFTA Connect Cohort ‘24-25.
